Three moods for your home, in one gift-ready box. A warm bakhoor for hosting, a pure frankincense for calm mornings, and a soft evening blend. Heat a little and let the scent drift through the room, then through your scarf or coat.
Bakhoor is the oldest way to scent a home in Arabia: wood chips soaked in fragrant oils and resins, warmed slowly until the smoke fills the room and lingers in fabric. This trio is the easiest way to start.
What's inside
- Majlis (bakhoor): oud chips, amber and warm woods. For when guests arrive.
- Dhofar (frankincense): bright, resinous and clean. For a calm, fresh morning.
- Layali (bakhoor): oud, rose and soft musk. For slow evenings.
Use with a charcoal or electric bakhoor burner (not included). Pair it with our Marble Bakhoor Globe and save 20% on the Globe.
How to burn
- Hold a charcoal disc with tongs and light it until it sparks across.
- Place it inside the Globe (or your burner) and let it turn grey, about 1 minute.
- Add a small piece of bakhoor, close the Globe, and let the scent drift.
Safety: Never leave burning charcoal unattended. The marble gets hot; let it cool before handling.
Questions people ask
- What is bakhoor?
- Wood chips, often oud, soaked in fragrant oils and resins. Heated slowly, the smoke scents a room, your clothes and your hair. It's how homes across the Arabian Peninsula have been scented for generations.
- What's the difference between the three?
- Majlis is warm and woody, made for hosting. Dhofar is pure frankincense: brighter, cleaner and resinous. Layali is softer and floral, with oud, rose and musk, for the evening.
- Do I need a burner?
- Yes. Bakhoor needs gentle heat from a charcoal or electric burner. A burner isn't included in this box, but our Marble Bakhoor Globe is 20% off when you buy them together.
- Can I wear it with my perfume oil?
- Yes, they're made to layer. Scent your clothes with the smoke, then roll perfume oil on your skin. Majlis pairs beautifully with Oud Al Malik.
